Vivascope 1500

The VivaScope ®2500 surgical cellular confocal imager allows researchers and health professionals working with skin or tissue imaging and diagnosis to capture cellular resolution images of the skin and supporting stroma. These images are captured from bulk, excised tissue without the need for lengthy staining and sectioning protocols.

The VivaScope 2500 system’s laser wavelengths and spectral filtering are ideally suited for the examination of fresh Mohs excisions, enabling fast and accurate assessment of the margins of the stage. Enabling rapid wide-field examination of large surgical specimens, Caliber I.D.’s patented Revolution Staging System ™ uses precise movements and clinically designed mapping sequences to capture images of the entire tissue specimen, including the edges of the specimen for margin assessment.

Small Animal Model Imaging

Because of an innovative, modular staging design, the VivaScope 2500 can also be fitted with the Caliber I.D. Stable Stage.™ Imaging small animal models with the same clarity and reliability offered by Caliber I.D.’s in vivo imaging devices, the Caliber I.D. Stable Stage provides the stability and robustness demanded by the most challenging applications. The available laser wavelengths and spectral filters give researchers an unprecedented means to evaluate dynamic processes in GFP-expressing animal models.

Intended Use Statement:

The VivaScope 2500 system is intended to acquire, store, retrieve, display, and transfer electro-optically enlarged reflectance and fluorescence images of unsectioned excised surgical tissue for medical purposes. The VivaScope 2500 is exempt from FDA 510K.
