Education and Training
With the help of the training options offered by Caliber I.D., learning to operate and care for the VivaScope Systems is quickly and easily learned. A Rapid Cell ID training program delivers the necessary prerequisites for analyzing confocal images quickly and – most importantly – accurately.
Introductory On-site TrainingOn-site customer training takes one or two days, depending on application and site requirements. This training is intended to offer users the basic knowledge and skills necessary to start using VivaScope devices immediately. Presentations, manuals, imaging guidelines and studies provide additional support and assistance, and Caliber I.D.’s clinical and technical staff is available for phone, Internet, and on-site support when required. |
Internship with the ExpertsAdvanced VivaScope users have the opportunity to expand and solidfy their knowledge of the many different options for utilizing Caliber I.D.’s VivaScope products to grow their practice, enhance their understanding and improve patient care. For those using the system specifically for clinical purposes, this internship takes place across two full days of intense training in a busy clinical practice. The participants in this internship should expect to spend roughly one-third of their time reviewing presentations and clinical studies, and two-thirds of their time watching and participating in the imaging of patients in a real-world setting. |
Online TrainingAdvanced additional training is available by reviewing and assessing numerous sample cases posted in an online learning suite available at ConfocalTraining.com. This expert training was developed by Professor Giovanni Pellacani and consists of levels that build upon one another. World-recognized experts from the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia and the Skin Tumor Center Berlin have incorporated foundational materials presented at live training seminars into a convenient online tool. |
Independent Circle of ExpertsThe International Confocal Group (ICG) has been meeting regularly since the beginning of 2008. More than 100 physicians from different disciplines ensure the interdisciplinary information exchange is lively and valuable. Membership is free and is open to any interested medical or scientific professional. |
